a glimmer into the life of a mum who loves fashion, decor and prosecco

Out & about . . .

In order to save some money (not sure this is actually happening) and stretch our legs after sitting for long periods of time at work, my friend and I have decided to go and "explore" the neighborhoods around our office on long walks.  We just happen to be very lucky in that our office is situated right on the Beverly Hills/West Hollywood border so we are surrounded my amazing sidewalk cafes, designer boutiques, furniture/decor shops and fabulous little vintage thrift stores and the beautiful Balenciaga store!!!!.

I took some photos while out and about:

These glass bottles & bowls were so bright and cheery - I would love the glasses in a mix of the green & orange for a spring/summer backyard soiree.  With big bouquets of spring flowers on the table

I loved this chair - the mix of broken-in distressed leather with the clean sharp lines of the metal frame - a great juxtaposition.  Oh and the zebra bench! not to shabby - three please!

I loved this wood bamboo stand, although I would have to paint it a glossy white, black or maybe even a dull gold! I think displaying an array of white ceramic objects would look great on glossy black.

I loved this bench and mountain of pillows BUT again I would have to paint the wood frame of the bench, upholster the cushion in some fab Trina Turk for Schumacher fabric and then order a whole new set of pillows

Okay so I want everything - the greek key x-bench LOVE! the beat-up luggage bags - beautiful but not necessarily practical, and the black and gold chest of drawers - come to mama!

Pretty smelling soaps

Ceiling-to-floor shelves of incredible linens!!!! I LOVE sheets & could quite easily develop an addiction!
There is nothing better than amazing sheets to slip into each night!

Some of my all-time-favorite soap "Savon de Marseille - Pamplemousse (Grapefruit)" (you can buy here)
This stuff smells out-of-this-world delicious!

And if you live in Los Angeles you have to try this wonderful, new, modern marketplace called Lemonade.  We stumbled upon it on one of our walks and when we checked out the menu we HAD to go in.  Seasoned beets with hazelnuts, farmers market carrots with basil and rosemary, red cabbage coleslaw with goat cheese . . . omg I could go on and on.  Being vegetarians this cafe was an absolute "fantasy dream" for my friend and I.  And the actual lemonades! ay ay ay ---- ginger peach, blueberry mint, watermelon rosemary, tarragon pear, basil pear.  Definately try it out for lunch or pick some dinner up on your way home. (great review)
