a glimmer into the life of a mum who loves fashion, decor and prosecco

living room suggestions

I want to revamp our living room.  I want a new vibe for the space.  We are a fun young family that craves comfort, ease, and me, I love glamour!  I need it to be easy to clean, kid friendly, and moveable as we are always building cardboard houses and making tents.  We plan on being here another year and then moving so I don't want to put too much money into buying things specifically for this space.

I want it to have color and be fresh and fun!  Here are some inspiration rooms that I have been looking at. Images via Elle Decor

one pouf please!

love the rug, the ikat chairs and the curtains *swoon*

This has been an all time fav for a while - could it be that cute little sweetpea?

Love the unexpected color palate here!

I promise I will try to take photos of our place this weekend but to set the scene we have grey walls, white crown molding and African mahogany hardwood floors.  These are some of the basics that we already have to work with (some of these are not exactly what we have)

We have this sofa (the 3-seat sofa) in this neutral color

I bought 2 of these type of chairs from Craigslist in a beige neutral color BUT they need to be recovered, so for now they have lambskin rugs on them (kind of like the pic below)

Now since everything is pretty neutral I wanted to punch it up with a new rug, throw pillows, table & floor lamps so here are some ideas:

Rug - great indoor/outdoor option as we have a mucky puppy, a 2yr old and plenty of dance parties happening in this room
