a glimmer into the life of a mum who loves fashion, decor and prosecco

supermums . . .

This post is for mums or parents who need good websites for information (if you are not a parent yet bookmark these for later!)

My first find is GreatSchools.org.  This website offers great information and ratings on schools for all ages - preschool, kindergarten, middle school, and high schools.  It can be used for the entire United States and not only does it give you school information, it gives you information on the community and homes for sale in the areas of the schools you like!!! It's a one-stop shop.

It also has a ton of information on your child's development and needs, on how to choose the best school for you and your child, social skills, bullying, and much much more.  It has a great "online community" where you can join other parents and discuss schools, education and parenting, and of course it has a blog!

My next favorite site is CityMommy.com.  I found this site when I was pregnant with Emerson and boy was I glad because I found our nanny, our mommy-&-me classes and so much more on this site.

You can read the daily blog postings that are always informative and amusing, you can browse their categories section to get any help on issues you may want to know more about - there is everything from fitness, pregnancy, and shopping, to must-have products.  But what I found the most helpful was signing up to be a member of the City Mommy group for my city (Los Angeles for me)!  This was where I was able to talk to other mum's in Los Angeles, specifically Santa Monica, regarding playdates, shops, products, pediatricians, parks, daycare, babysitters and we found our nanny through someone posting about her on this site!!!

I hope these sites come in handy when you need them!
