a glimmer into the life of a mum who loves fashion, decor and prosecco

Friday

Sorry for the MIA week . . . it just got away from me! It was my Birthday week but that was not really the reason; it was just go, go, go this week!  I had a work seminar to attend on Tuesday night (my actual Birthday!) but it was not bad considering it was in the beautiful Downtown Ritz and this happened thanks to my werk-BFF . . . prosecco and warm cookies! Don't mind if I do!

It also didn't suck to work on my birthday considering I got showered with gifts, funny cards and Georgetown Cupcakes! (their vegan Apple Cinnamon is insane!)

When I got home I walked in to 2 little girlies super excited (& the wonderful Mr. Hotpants), singing Happy Birthday, with Nothing Bundt Cupcakes and tons of candles!!!!   I got shoes, candles, and a beautiful glass vase from my littles because "those are what mummy loves!"

I took Thursday off because little Ms. E asked me if I could take her to school on her Show & Tell day and go to her ballet/tap class . . . ummmmm hellz yeah!!!! So I had a great day with the girlies; so fun in fact I didn't even take pic's!

But we did stop into HomeGoods and I stumbled upon this beauty . . . I have been looking for a credenza-type piece for a while now.  It needed to be long and tall and not too deep.  I searched all the normal websites, checked out eBay and Craigslist but couldn't find anything I loved that was the right price point.  I did find myself falling for mid-century inspired pieces so when I walked into HomeGoods (for another project I will tell you about later) and ran straight into this baby it was kind of love at first sight.  It is the perfect dimensions, great tiger wood veining, absolutely solid and an awesome price . . . S O L D . . . now I just have to get it home!!

This weekend is kinda busy too - It's my first "soccer team snack-mum" gig and I have the two girlies by myself as Mr. Hotpants is at school Saturday mornings; ought to be interesting carrying one babe and hauling a cooler.  Then we have little Ms. E's Annual Art Festival at her school and some finishing touches to put on the project I mentioned above that needs to be ready for Sunday morning!

I plan on making these delicious looking, more importantly "no-bake," energy balls with the girls . . .

And I am thinking of a little craft project that I can do with the girls that includes Terra-cotta pots, fun paint colors, and some succulents & cacti . . .

Have a fabulous weekend peeps . . .
