Friday's Favs

 H A P P Y    W E E K E N D     L O V E L I E S

I am so ready and excited for the weekend . . . we have a few soccer tournament games (almost all the games have been rained out! can't believe that was the case since Cali has been in a drought for YEARS!!!), I want to start packing for our Big Bear, CA trip that is coming up (and there is lots of snow!!!!) and I have a few things I want to checkoff my "To-Do" list.

Today I'm starting a Friday "series" post where I am going to share any awesome things I have read or seen during the week; so it will be a mixture of good reads, good sales, food, and good tips . . . and some things that make me laugh - because I am always looking to do that.  So here are my links for this week . . .

I think we all need to do THIS a lot more than we do.

Relationship goals - I LOVE these two

Such a great SPLURGE vs. STEAL

I will definitely have to do an official taste test . . . you know, just for good measure

Since we will be picking up ours this weekend to start selling seems fitting to share this.

The cutest & softest hats - they come in a set of 2: perfect for my girlies (and they fit me!)

Simple Additions

With the coming of a new year I love to take down all the decorations, pack away all the gifts and put away the new clothes, buy white fresh flowers and clean-scented candles.  I love to feel de-cluttered after 4 months of decorations hanging all over the place (starting at Halloween).

I wanted to share some small home decor items that I have found to that can add that clean simple look with out overcrowding or making the space feel cluttered.

First up is this great gold easel picture stand!  I love that it looks unique and classy.  I think it would look great with a photo or equally fantastic with a small piece of artwork.  I cant wait to get mine

Target's Threshold line has some beautiful pieces with their line of artificial succulents and planters . . .

I love the details on this basket . . . it would look great in a bathroom with towels or living room with some cozy blankets

(buy here)

I really like Urban Outfitters selection of candles and I love their little jars of matches - they are only $12 (for the small) and would be a great hostess gift along with a yummy smelling candle (buy here or here)

Amazon Buys

Back to my love for Amazon and my most recent fav buys . . . .

First stop what you are doing right NOW and order one (or two - one for the hubby's car) NOW!!!  These car mounts for your phone are amazing and only $8 . . . comes in three fun colors and can I say again how amazing it is!  It is a very strong magnet that clips onto any vent in almost any car and on your phone you have the other part of the magnet that you can stick onto the back of your phone (although I did not use the sticker I just slipped the magnet under my phone case and viola "hands-free" phone! This is so important in California because Jan 1st a new law was passed that stated:

"Motorists will be prohibited from holding and operating a handheld wireless telephone or electronic communications devices while driving, unless it mounted on the vehicle's windshield, or affixed to a dashboard or center console in a way that does not hinder the individual's view of the road, according to the release."

My other favorite buy right now are these back-booster seats!  They are lightweight, super affordable ($30), extremely narrow (So you could prob fit 3 next to each other if needed) and they are very easy to take in and out of the car.  I know my girls are 5 and 7yrs old but he California laws have recently changed and kiddos are having to stay in boosters with backs a lot longer now . . . personally I am completely OK with this (have you watched kid-crashtest dummy videos!!!)

We have 4 cars that we have carseats in!!!!! I know, I know crazy --- we have our three cars (read "two commuter cars and a family SUV") then our nanny has carseats too because she has the girls in her car most of the day.  The seats come in super cute colorways too; blue, pink, green, red . . .

Mr. Hotpants got me these cute booties as part of my Christmas gifts and I love them! I wear them so much and get tons of compliments.  They are super comfortable and are true to size.  They come in black, taupe and a beautiful wine.  They remind me of similar ones by Dolce Vita and Pour la Victoire.

What have you bought on Amazon recently?  Please share . . . I love seeing what people find on there!

Do you Posh?

I love a good bargain, don't you?  Are you all on Poshmark yet??  If not you have to download the app today! Start perusing and buying!  You can also sell your stuff and it is SO easy; but you don't need to - you can just be a "shopper"  if you can't be bothered with the selling part.  You can find things that are brand-new with tags and things that have been gently loved.

I have sold stuff on eBay and Posh and by FAR Posh is way easier and pretty much hassle-free --- all you really have to do is post your stuff (which is so easy on the app) and when someone buys you print out the pre-paid postage label, box your item and drop at the post office!!!

I have got some great things on Posh - Lululemon workout clothes, Jimmy Choo shoes, vintage Levi's, Stella McCartney sunglasses, Mother jeans, A.L.C sweater, Free People sweaters and more!  And I have to say all the items have been exactly as described

I wanted to share my latest buy!  I have always loved the look of the classic Chanel Tweed  jackets; chic & timeless and oh so flattering!

And then IRO started recently making a gorgeous new version in an updated moto-style . . .

And then last year, one of my favorite designers, Isabel Marant, launched her own version of the classic tweed jacket . . .

I loved seeing how people were styling her Etoile boucle jacket and combining the classiness of the tweed with sneakers and leather . . .

Michelle Monaghan in Isabel Marant Etoile "Lexy" boucle jacket

I was delighted when I found it in my size on Poshmark from a great seller for . . . . $60 (retailed for over $300)  It is in near perfect condition and fits great - I absolutely love it

What are you waiting for . . . go find some great bargains!

NOTE- this was not paid for by Poshmark or anyone else - just my opinions
Happy New Year

I know, I know I have been completely MIA from my precious beauty for a while but my 2017 goal is to get back into my blogging! I miss it and you all so much!

So much has been going on, some good and some bad but I plan on sharing all that has happened, how we worked through some things, parenting trials and tribulations, good buys, great trips with kiddos and as always my shopping favs!!!

So lets start with some good buys and gifts I have found recently . . . . the after Christmas sales are fantastic right now.

I just got this great Leith sweater in Olive and I love it! Since it's on sale I might order in the cream color too!  I got a small because I hate sweaters being too tight (buy here)

(Excuse the horrible shopping mirror pic)

Since we are finally having a "cold" winter here in SoCal I have been looking at some warmer workout gear and got this awesome pullover in black (I got XS as it runs slightly big.)  The tapered waist is so flattering and I love the high neck (buy here)

I fell in love with the color combo on these Air Max Thea Nike's! It doesn't hurt that they are insanely comfortable either - I find I grab for them every day (buy on sale here)

Oh and my favorite 2016 sunglasses by Quay are on major sale right now! I wear mine all the time (buy here)

Hope your 2017 has started off fantastic!!!
