a glimmer into the life of a mum who loves fashion, decor and prosecco

My Weekend . . .

in a few photos . . . Emerson turned "2" and we celebrated with cupcakes, Mexican food, cervezas and margaritas!!! Oh and lots of Elmo, new books, beautiful dresses and art supplies! Favorite gift so far - her new trike thingy and her new books.

This thing is pretty cool - takes them from about 9mths (has a plastic circular thing that attaches so that they can't fall off) up to riding a trike on their own (that back handle is for an adult to push but can be taken off at any time to become a trike)

Birthday girl with some new books

Playing outside with papa and some balls (backyard at my mum's is still being landscaped)

The excitement of "Birthday Cupcakes"!!!!!

Playing the piano with her friend Jackson

Laughing at daddy through the back door!

Ready for bed with her favorite elephant PJ's

I completely forgot to take any photos of the food, the gifts, the balloons, the cupcakes as I was honestly just having a great time catching up with everyone and watching Emerson smile and squeal with delight at having her friends around.  I am pretty sure someone else took some photos so I will get them eventually.  But I wanted to let you know I ordered from WH Hostess the goodies below and they were absolutely gorgeous.  I would definitely recommend this company for party supplies - contemporary color schemes & designs, affordable prices, and quality products (the bubble mixture is great, not like that cheap stuff you sometimes get!)

Personalized cupcake toppers

Personalized candy bags - I filled Emerson's baggies with the organic jelly beans that she loves

Personalized bubbles

Mum and I couldn't help a little stop at the new Anthropologie store the next day and we picked up one of these each! I had been meaning to try this candle as I have heard so many things about it and it has not disappointed. . .  it is "Delicious!"

All-in-all a great weekend, topped off with a mini sleepover at Disneyland and dinner at Napa Rose for mummy and daddy.
(taken on my iPhone upside down and for some reason I can't get it to flip when importing into my blog - so lets just make-believe I am being artsy!)
