Last Friday I had a great day! It was all girly and all to myself. My boss gave our office tickets to go to a Mothers Day Luncheon at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel. It was a charity event with the guest "Mother" being Amy Brenneman (from NYPD Blue, Judging Amy, Private Practice). The lunch was yummy (esp. the dessert and coffee) and it was followed by a fun flirty fashion show.
We got goody bags with makeup, a book, candies and a beanie baby - which Emerson loved
this salad was great - strawberries and goat cheese! Yes please!
Ice tea is always fancier in a wine glass and a wedge of orange - I am going to start doing this at home!
the fashion show was fun and light!
The material of my Trina Turk dress that I wore - I love the colors and pattern! Would be great for pillows
Hard to see but this was a "Pretty Woman" look ( the polo show dress with hat?!)
I had two amazing celebrity sightings!!!! the best being RACHEL ZOE, her hubby and new baby!!!!
and the other, equally as yummy, Simon Baker (aka the Mentalist)
After the fashion show I stopped by my favorite coffee shop, Caffe Luxxe, in Brentwood and picked up a coffee and window shopped some amazing home stores! Also stopped off at Mr.Hotpants office and gave him an afternoon coffee and a kiss!!! So nice to see his face in the middle of the day.
Cisco Home has amazing sustainable furniture!
I think my mum had one exactly like this! --- "Mum - where is it? I need it!!!!"
Love these wall sconces - they would look great in a dining room
Next I stopped in to, Haven & Company! I love this little store. I bought my mum the most beautfil white ceramic ginger jar for Mothers day a few years ago from here!
Cute crisp-cotton summer jammies!
I loved these coral napkin rings!
Barclay Butera home candles - they smell amazing and are huge!
I finished off my day with an impromptu pregnancy massage that was OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD good!!! It was perfect; I was able to fully relax and let all the to-do-lists in my head fade away AND my therapist was amazing. Thank you Bill!
Oh and then I had the ultimate pleasure of having my dad up for the weekend and indulging in our favorite . . . . Indian food!!! Vegetable korma, naan bread and samosas!!!
What an utterly fantastic day, I feel refreshed just reading this. LOVE celeb sightings, you dress looks amazing and so do those chairs... Sigh!
