Sorry I ended up being out yesterday last minute with the girlies so never got around to doing a post!
We had a quieter weekend than the last five! A sweet 2yr old's birthday party, a 007 date night, and some home organizing. Not sure about you but come January and I am all about white, clean, fresh and crisp. So it was goodbye to all the Christmas/holiday decor and hello to white hydrangeas, white fresh-smelling candles and a whole-lotta throwing out (donating) the junk and not used "stuff."
I love the feeling of "purging" and starting the year as close to a minimalist as I can. I put away all the gifts, wrapping stuff and toys (kept some toys packed away to bring out in a few weeks/months.) . . . I will take a few photos from around the house tonight and share but in the meantime here are a few things . . .
My New Years Eve outfit (was going to wear the Zara sequined pants I bought BUT they looked horrible on, so bummed) . . . Black Club Monaco backless jumpsuit (old), House of Harlow leopard booties, vintage Gucci belt (eBay) and my kimono jacket (F21, old)
I saw this on another blog (I can't remember which one or I would have linked it) and I liked it's simplicity. I'm going to print and post it in my office. My life could benefit from all of these points!
Mr. Hotpants and I have decided that this year we will be buying a sectional to finish off the family room. Right now we have our old sofa and two armchairs (a score I found on eBay a few years ago) but we want to have a big, comfy, cozy sectional that we can all lounge around on and watch movies, the Superbowl, the Oscars! So today I declare the start of the "Sectional Manhunt" . . . that just sounds naughty!
Here are a few inspirational photos . . .
