Before and now . . .

One of the things I fell in love with when we bought our house was the vaulted high ceilings, plethora of windows and openness of the space (we helped it by opening up a wall)

Here are a few before pics of the "formal" living room and dining room (we busted the wall out and made everything "informal and family-fun-friendly"

We also removed that 80's floating shelf from the hallway (above pic)

Here are some pics of it's current state ... still lacking tons of furniture but you can see the white, bright openness we went for!

This is our old sofa that is just in there for now as a space filler.  We still need to get new dining chairs (love chiavari or these) and eventually I would love to do a built-in window seat with storage at that bay window

This room needs some major cozy furniture - sofa, armchairs, coffee & side tables (or poufs) and eventually I would love tons of built-in bookshelves!

I love the french doors leading out to the garden!
