Happy New Year

Happy Fabulous New Year

I know it is already 13 days into 2015 but I needed a break!  This Holiday season really wiped me out; well the Holidays and too much Pinot Noir, if I am being honest!  But I finally feel like I am getting back into the swing of things!

The girls are back in school, the Christmas tree, decorations and gifts are all put away.  Our trees in the backyard (all 28 of them!) have been cut, trimmed and thinned out for Spring, we got a new water heater (not necessarily needed but se la vie), we fit a little 4-day family vacation to San Diego in, and I have already ran 3 days this month!  All in all things are going smashingly so far.

Here are some photos from the last few weeks to catch us all up to speed . . . as busy as it was, it was so much FUN!

Our annual tradition of shopping for our Christmas tree with Papa was fun as usual (lot of Christmas songs and peppermint-rum-hot-chocolate)

Not sure about you but with littles in the house now, tree decorating takes on an interesting twist - all the ornaments at a 3-4ft height and clustered in certain spots!  Takes about 3 bedtimes for me to fix it lol

a special princess helped me decorate . . .

Dinner date with Mr. Hotpants at our favorite Playground (it never fails!!)

My holiday accessory?  A glass of Pinot Noir
(Jeans - Rag & Bone (here)/Boots - Giuseppe Zanotti (similar here)/ Bra - Cosabella (here)

The photos above and below have all my most precious peeps in them (except Mr. Hotpants is missing) . . . Above - decorating granma's Christmas tree with my brother, sister and all our littles; Below - at little Ms. E's Holiday concert with Papa

(Jeans - 7 For All Mankind (here)/sweater - Vince (similar here)

We spent a lot of time outside at our favorite parks this break because it was wonderfully chilly for a change! (little Ms. E in her Christmas concert outfit!)

I also got to spend a lot of time having my hair brushed and braided by this princess
during our break

We celebrate the East Coast ball drop for New Years with the girls at our place.  Mr. Hotpants makes homemade pizza done on the BBQ with a pizza stone and we get streamers and hats and noise-makers! This year my sister, brother-in-law and niece joined us.  Totally casual and fun; we watched the ball drop about 8 times for the girls lol
